Candycane10 Posted April 1 #2 Share Posted April 1 I googled, May was one of the best months. It is suppose to be the driest and less buggy. We have booked first week in May on the Discovery Princess.
Rare Coral Posted April 1 #3 Share Posted April 1 (edited) I would recommend end of May. Historically driest month of Alaska (less rain). Sept and Oct have the potential/odds for the worst weather. For places - I would recommend driving North of Vancouver to Squamish and then Whistler (spend the night) and then go East. https://www.whistler.com/activities/summer/ https://www.exploresquamish.com/discover/about-squamish/ https://www.exploresquamish.com/discover/about-squamish/#group_21535_1 Edited April 1 by Coral
nordicacres Posted April 1 #4 Share Posted April 1 My husband went snowboarding at Sunshine Village (Banff) and Whistler at the very end of April. The road to Moraine Lake wasn’t yet open for the season, and there were other road closures for wildlife purposes. I would check to make sure that you’re able to do what you want in Banff NP before booking.
