You are correct that SH OBC cannot be used for the DSC. But it can be used to pay the room service fee if you have food delivered to your room.

And yes, it can be used to pay for WiFi upgrades.

Got it!  I was reading it as a room service (as in cleaning) fee 🙂  Had the inflection incorrect in my head!

Was just on the Jade, we used our Non-refundable OBC on bingo card which came up as Jade entertainment charge or cruise staff gaming. With excursions, our nephew wanted to do an excursion last minute in DR & was fully booked BUT the morning of said excursion, you can walk up to where they are meeting & if lucky there is space, they’ll accommodate so you can also use your OBC. We also received refund cable OBC from our travel agent & “withdrew” it at the casino using their coin machine game labeled as entertainment tokens for $10 a pop then cashed it into cash.

while i am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, the shareholder's obc is a freebie gift.

1st off, i cant imagine you not finding anything else to blow 50 bucks on. at the very least, by some extra ncl t-shirts as gifts (or even to use as rags when you get home) worst comes to worst, it didnt cost  you any real money, so imho, its no loss if you dont use it all.  btw, if you're in a b2b, and you applied for both cruise, you should be getting an extra 100 obc for the 2nd leg of this cruise
