Changing status midway thru 7 day cruise

If ones changes status from bronze to silver halfway through a cruise, do the benefits kick in on the day you turn over to new level or do you have to wait till the next cruise?

All Latitude points are awarded after the conclusion of the cruise on which they are earned. As a result, you cannot change status halfway through a cruise. New levels will always start with the next cruise.

It is impossible to change status during the middle of a cruise because points are not awarded until completion of the cruise.
