stockperks app for shareholders' OBC

Thank you all for this information. Our cruise is in January, so I've read that in November we should be able to apply for the credit. My question is whether I can take a screen shot of our stock account and submit the information through the app instead of having to provide our stockbroker's name and our account number. I'm concerned about personal information being leaked. When I did a trial run with the app, it wanted our stockbroker's information and I didn't proceed further. Is there a more secure way of proceeding?

Thank you

Loretta

This thread mostly relates to Australian passengers. Our law doesn't allow Stockperks to connect directly with our broker, so it allows us to upload a copy of a shareholding statement. I don't know if that option is available to US passengers.

I have successfully uploaded the Stockperks app and applied for OBC for our November Circumvention of Australia cruise on the Westerdam, which has been added to our HAL account.

My question is- are you only able to apply for OBC one at a time?
We have another HAL cruise departing 4th January 2025. When I go onto the Stockperks app and press redeem ,it is just showing my Nov. credit but doesn’t appear to allow me to add the booking number for the January cruise.
Am I doing something wrong??
Any advice would be appreciated.

Jenny, try going into Eligible, then click on the cruise line of choice, not redeemed, those are the ones you have claimed already.

I had applied for three successfully.

I just tried that and it is asking for my brokerage account again before proceeding- I thought I was done with downloading that information, but obviously not. It is going to be a bit of a nuisance if I have to do it each time. But if that is the protocol then so be it.

Do you have to do this each time you want to apply for OBC?

No, not every time. I have only had to do it twice in the last year. Someone mentioned above (maybe Geoff) it had to be downloaded every 6 months??

You can apply for several at the same time with the same statement. But, you can currently only do Carnival brand shareholder OBC for 2024 cruises. The current arrangement expires on 31st December 2024, with Carnival expected to extend it sometime next month.

"The benefit is available on sailings through December 31, 2024.  Applications to receive this benefit should be made at least three weeks prior to cruise departure date."

The message I get is come back and try again in November - no specific date. The report I used to upload for our July Splendor cruise has expired, and I will need to pre-load another when I go to apply for our Feb cruises.

Thanks everyone, you instructions were very helpful.

I have just downloaded my brokerage report and then it said that the file was successfully uploaded and they would send me a notification once the validation of my stock ownership is complete.

It also said that" this proof of ownership will expire in 3 months"

I thought this information might help others navigate the process.
