Are they still called "Fish Extenders"?

I am just booking again for next cruise! However, it has been a while since the last time we sailed on Disney! Are they still calling them Fish Extenders or is there another term being used? 

 

Also, how do you join a group or two to do this? 

 

I feel so far out of the loop! Thanks for all the help!

They are still called Fish Extenders.  You might check the roll call for your sailing to see if anybody is interested in a group.  

 

TBH, Many of the people who sail on Disney aren't active here on CC.  You may need to search elsewhere for a Fish Extender group.

Most of the Fish Extender groups I have seen are organized on FB.

All of the FE groups I've participated in were organized on a Disney specific forum, and one here on Cruise Critic.

I'm sure there are those as well.  But there's typically a FB group for every sailing on every ship - just search by ship and date (for example: Disney Magic August 30).  Usually someone in the group organizes a number of FE groups (adults, kids, magnets, etc).

 

Those groups can be a helpful source for other sailing specific info too.

I think those are fading out. The majority of the cruises I have been on, all activity was on FB groups specific to the cruise.

And, sadly, not everyone is on FB.  So, unless FE groups are set up  in a number places, people will miss out on them.
