Diamond benefits on Magnifica

Just booked my first MSC cruise on the Magnifica after status matching to diamond. How do I max out my benefits? It sounds like there is just one specialty Asian restaurant on board. What does the tasting menu look lovely me? Where do make a reservation? At the restaurant or guest services? How do I block time in the thermal spa? Any other experiences I should book ahead of time?

I don’t believe you can make a reservation until you are onboard.  EM

We were on Magnifica in April, you make reservations onboard, at the restaurant. We ate there twice, diamond dinner and a La carte. Prices are real reasonable and food was very good (imo)! Neither night was busy.

As a guy with taste buds, I agree it was not good.   Didn't finish any of the courses.  I think some of the fish had been in the fridge since the previous sailing.

Here in the US and ships leaving a US ports all sushi fish must be frozen.  I am not sure about non US ports but I would bet the same holds true.  It keeps the fish much fresher as the need to "use" a fish that may be going bad is eliminated.  As a trained chef you should know this.
