I’m not one of those fair weather guys. I said back when we didn’t get Yamamoto and we signed all of those 1-year guys that this would be a throwaway season. Manaea, severino, houser, jd Martinez. All of those guys are available for trade. I’m even willing to listen on Alonso in the last year of his deal.

I'm the same way. As a Yankees fan you know that I'm obligated to bust chops. 😁

Made it to Jimmy’s place in Times Square! I’ll get more pictures later, I was just lugging my stuff across the intersection (got dropped across the street) and just wanted to get settled.

Check in is up on the 7th floor. There are bars throughout the property.

They retired Strawberry’s number. Which is actually how I became a Mets fan. My stepfather got me into collecting baseball cards but I didn’t know any of the players yet. You’d keep the cards in a shoe box and carry them to your friends house. Kid across the street. Two years older than me offers me 20 card for 1. I do it…and run back across the street excited to show the stepdad my haul. He asks “who was the one?” I don’t know. Something Strawberry. And I became a Mets fan.

I still got about 3,000+ baseball cards from the 50s-70s. Holding on to them for retirement

That’s when they were actually valuable.

Wow-Margaritaville has a 9.2 rating on Trivago. Looks fun-I'd head to Tiki Bar if there is any sun

It’s really nice thus far. I’ll definitely head up there after a quick rest/phone charge/facility break

Still have my Upper Deck Griffey Jr rookie card. That’s the only one I really saved

My thirty minute wait was more like 10. She called me and I made eye contact from the other end of the lobby on the phone. It was as awkward and fun as you’d expect

I questioned the idea of Margaritaville in midtown Manhattan as I

am familiar with them in tropical, island settings. Well, Manhattan IS an island though. The hotel looks very nice and the open deck and pool deck look inviting.

I am curious how the rooms are and look forward to some photos.

Enjoy your stay!

I’m a massive Parrothead and really just wanted to use tonight to relax and try to get into the cruise mindset - so what better place?
