Very strange to me - they are requiring us to take valid, physical passports ashore, or European ID.

I have only experienced that in the Faulklands and Turkey,

I don't remember having to in the Falklands, but in several other countries.

After all that, nobody checked jack, other than the normal ship cards. I guess we beat the ship tours, cause there wasn't a line anywhere.

Attention Walmart Shoppers!

When reboarding, I asked one of the security guys what's the deal with the liquor collection table. They are (at least for now) only collecting spirits - you can still carry on wine and beer. He didn't understand the change, either, but doesn't make the rules.

Over on the European Ports of Call Section - Italy - I have seen several posts advising travelers to carry their passports with them at all times.  Italian Laws: According to Italian laws, all non-European visitors must carry a passport as their form of identification. Police officers can ask you to present an ID at any point. Failure to have a valid passport can land you in trouble as the police cannot identify you and gauge whether you are in Italy legally.

Also heard it can lead to a nice fine.

I suppose I might open it up for picture requests. Cabin pictures excepted (not accepted). On problem I have is we haven't been on Legend in years, so I'm not sure exactly what was changed in the most recent dry dock.

This is what Carnival says was done, so I guess that will be what I try to tackle. Without another sea day and long port day excursions, what time is left is limited.

Completed during drydock 4/27/24-5/29/24

  • Routine hotel maintenance
  • Cosmetic enhancements such as new carpeting and tiling, etc. in lounges, public areas and public restrooms
  • ADA compliant updates throughout public areas and select staterooms
  • 5 new cabins and dedicated Chef's Table added to Deck 1 (replaced lower level of Nightclub)
  • Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge (replaced Sports Bar)
  • Updated and expanded Casino lay-out and removed the casino bar
  • Dream's Studio added to Deck 2
  • Nightclub lay-out changed on Deck 2 (removed lower level from Deck 1)
  • Carnival Adventures Store added to Deck 3
  • Circle 'C' and Camp Ocean spaces have been updated
  • Spa Carnival rebranded as Cloud 9 Spa
  • Added Carnival Seaside Theater on Lido Deck and removed hot tub spa from Avalon pool
  • Steakhouse rebranded as Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse
  • New mini golf course installed

Not really unless they are listed in the Funtimes. I plan on posting all of those. I find most CDs annoying so don't really listen to anything they say. 🙂

Pretty sure I heard there will be the Quest, though.
