Recommendation for a pre-cruise hotel in Orlando

Recommended Posts

Can you offer any recommendations for a pre-cruise hotel in Orlando?  We will be arriving at Orlando airport fairly late on the night before our cruise departure from Port Canavarel.  There will be eight of us.  Ideally, we are looking for a hotel with convenient access from the airport and not too far from the cruise terminal. Not looking for an upscale hotel, just need a decent family friendly hotel in a safe area for one night.  Bonus, if breakfast is included or if there are nearby places to eat.  Any recommendations would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

You can't be close to the airport and not too far from the cruise terminal at the same time. 🙂

If you just need a night's stay, look at Google maps at the hotels north of the airport along Semoran Blvd. There's something for everyone: a nice Marriott, a Hampton Inn, a Ramada, a Country Inn & Suites, etc., along with plenty of restaurants.

Several shuttle companies pick up from those hotels.

I’ve stayed at Residence Inn (Marriott) when I fly into Orlando. . They have a nice breakfast and a shuttle to take you to the cruise ship. All of this was prior to Covid. I called the hotel prior to my arrival date, and placed my name on a list. There were about 20 of us and the price was $15 per person round trip. They either take you back to their hotel or the airport. Super smooth as once  I did a back to back and there wasn’t a problem returning two weeks later

We stayed at the Hyatt right at the Orlando airport. It’s very convenient, especially if you’re arriving late because the lobby of the hotel is just upstairs from baggage claim.

we used Cortrans shuttle to take us to the ship and then back to the airport.
