Portland, Maine in 2025

It appears that Portland is cutting back on cruise ship visits in 2025, too. It is not on our itinerary next year, though it has been for years. Personally, we'd take Portland over Bar Harbor any time.

Not sure where you are seeing that Portland is cutting back on ship visits.  The last time it was brought up was 2022, and limits were defeated.  As I said in another thread, not a real big fan of the cruise ship crowds in downtown Portland on port call days (though it is good for business, just not as good as tourists spending more than a few hours here), I can always escape to the lake, but I really don't have a dog in the fight.  I would suspect scheduling problems caused by "diverted" Bar Harbor cruises is to blame for cut backs by some lines on Portland calls.
