Cabo in February. Looking for whales!

We will be on a Princess ship in Cabo next February.  If we don’t book a Princess excursion, will we be stuck in long lines to get off the ship?  Best advice for doing a whale watching excursion, through Princess or another?

you will lots of whales form the ship ( take binoculars).  Look for a bunch of small boats ( maybe 5-10) just floating around.  All of sudden, you will see them all move, as fast as possible.  Keep your eyes ( and binoculars ) on them, they are chasing the whales.  Look for the water spot as the whales blow out air.  You will most likely see the tails splashing, and if lucky, breaching.  IMO, seeing the whales is the best part of the Mexican Riviera.
