sasset Posted July 27 #1 Share Posted July 27 (edited) Are the lifeboats/tenders an issue with 6048? Edited July 27 by sasset error
Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted July 27 #2 Share Posted July 27 The lifeboats all appear to be located on deck 5, below that cabin. So you may have some obstruction if trying to look straight down, but I would not think it would be an issue just looking straight out. I would not pass it up solely on this item. sasset Posted July 28 Author #3 Share Posted July 28 Thanks for your response. I was wondering if the cabin was far enough forward to not have any boats below it.
Chrisclaire Posted July 28 #4 Share Posted July 28 Hi There was a topic on this stateroom (Sept 2022!) I've screenshot a picture which may help, perhaps worth scrolling back to 2022 to read more 😃 Enjoy your cruise.
sasset Posted July 28 Author #5 Share Posted July 28 (edited) Thanks. Found the thread but it didn’t answer my question if the boat below is tucked in allowing clear view downward. Edited July 28 by sasset Grammar

sasset Posted July 29 Author #7 Share Posted July 29 Thanks all. Still trying to get a read on the down view. The photo shared looks like the boats are tucked under the expanded deck area of the veranda. Anyone know for sure?

sasset Posted July 30 Author #9 Share Posted July 30 I'd still like to hear from someone that's been in this cabin.
canderson Posted July 30 #10 Share Posted July 30 If you'll go up to the top of our threads, you'll find the cabin comments for each class. This kind of question is the reason this nifty but often overlooked tool exists. Fellow travelers who don't even frequent CC can still provide useful and lasting information to others. If you will use the M Class thread, you'll be able to use the spreadsheet to search for 6048 (or just scroll down to line #59). Granted, the one that pops up is for Infinity, but 6048 is in EXACTLY the same position on Constellation as it is on its sister ship Infinity. Read the comment -- line #59 in the spreadsheet. Here are the important bits: Review Date: 2016 Post Ref #: 321 Balcony/Porthole View: No Obstructions. Could see straight down to water Now, check out post #321 - it's on Page 13 of the thread. There you find Ship. Infinity Cabin. 6048 Deck. 6 starboard facing aft Class. 2B deluxe ocean view Veranda Location. Forward Quiet. Yes Obstruction. No. Could see straight down to water Balcony. Oversized on slant. Fantastic balcony. We were on an Alaskan cruise and the wind was blocked by the cabin next to ours which made the balcony amazingly warm when in fact the temperature was in the high 50's to low 60's when we were at the Hubbard glacier. Wind a problem. No Soot. No Bed. Near closet Problems/Comments. Great cabin. Grab it if you can.

It's a really great tool, and it's amazing how many people have contributed, sometimes in great detail. There are a lot of nuances involved in otherwise identically classed cabins, and it's always nice to see what kind of anomalies, good and bad, one might encounter. Looks to me like you've got some sweet veranda time ahead of you!
