3senufMom Posted July 31 #1 Share Posted July 31 All suggestions welcomed. Planning first time cruise for family: 3 adult children & partners, kids 9 and 14 and grands. Allure of the Seas Jan 2026, we have choice of connecting balconies on deck 10 connecting balcony rooms 10550 & 10552). or Deck 7 non connecting 7588. CONCERNS: forward cabins and seasickness, or is that n/a on a big ship deck 10? vs Deck 7 over/under the restaurant. Seems the connecting rooms are the best for the family.....thoughts and TIA! firefly333 Posted July 31 #2 Share Posted July 31 Then get the connecting cabins and bring a cheap box of sea sick meds just in case someone reacts to the motion. Also meds are free if you go to the medical forward deck 1. They are in a thing hung on the door to grab. Often also you can ask and they can remove the balcony divider so people can walk back and forth. Not sure if those are balcony cabins. It is true a large ship has less motion but you never know. We worried my sisters first cruise but she was fine.

For us higher is always better. 99 % chance you will never feel any movement on Allure. 7588 would have a very slight obstruction looking aft as your just ahead of the hump cabins. FYI 7588 is also a connecting cabin and it has cabins on the deck below you. Edited July 31 by taglovestocruise
