Rotterdam.... roof covered Balconies?

Do I want a covered Balcony/Veranda?   It might be good if it rained, but would it interfere with your view?
Do all the Balconies have roofs?

All balconies on all HAL ships have at least some amount of coverage. It can vary, but few have less than 40% or so coverage...some of the older ships, its near 100%.

 

Has never really impacted our visibility.

The exception would be the Vista Suites on deck 8 on the Pinnacle class ships. Those don't have any cover, rendering them useless when it may be raining.

We have a Vista on Deck 8 on the Rotterdam in February and have had them before. We don't want to sit out on our verandah in the rain anyway. Going up to sit by the Sea View Bar when it's raining suits us just fine.

We had an uncovered verandah in our Vista on Deck 8 on the Rotterdam. It was very sunny (we don't like sun), but the night views were amazing!

Overall, it just "felt" bigger to be exposed on top.
