Sun Princess smoking

Hi all - we’re thinking of booking the Sun Princess for next year but a couple of us are very sensitive to smoke. I’ve read that other classes of Princess ships have issues with smoke traveling outside of the casino to other public spaces like shops & the atrium, etc. There was a similar issue when we went on the Nieuw Statendam and want to avoid this. Can anyone who’s been on the Sun Princess give any insight?

Thanks!

In June we didn't notice any smoke from the casino unless we were actually in the casino. Problem was though that one of the main routes to the Arena for a show was through the casino. It is possible to get there without going through it so if you're really sensitive, there's a path.

The casino is well away from the shops on the Sun Princess so that's not a problem.

What is a problem is the smoking area on the port side of the Wake View Terrace in the back of the ship. It's on deck 8 and we had an aft facing cabin on deck 12. We could enter our cabin and wonder who had been smoking in it, it was that bad. Yes we kept our balcony door closed.

Currently on Sun Princess. We are on deck 15 forward of the stair well that takes you to the casino on deck 8.
My wife says she sometimes smells smoke in our cabin but I haven’t smelt it.

There is another smoking area on deck 18 starboard side of the Sun Bar. It’s quite busy with smokers!

That's a correction, got my port and starboard mixed up.
