Bingo Question!!

Do they use the traditional bingo cards and daubers, or do they use the "electronic" bingo cards on the Island Princess?

As far as I know all ships use both but there is a limit of the expensive machines

I was on Island as recently as December 2023 and they used both electronic and paper cards and daubers.  They did bingo in the Explorers Lounge, and Fortuna Luck was as annoying as ever.

The lesser cost bingo offerings use paper cards. The more expensive packages include the electronic tablets.

Just got off the Island but have been on the Emerald. Both used both. The electronic machines won more but broke more and held up the games. There is a general resentment against the machines. And yes the Fortuna character is idiotic.

I mess up sometimes with the paper cards so haven't been playing last couple of cruises. Never used electronic bingo cards. Do these just mark the number called for you? Is it just a single card?

You would rent the machine for the whole session. The machine changes to accommodate each game in order. It shows numbers as called and alerts both you and the caller if you win. A no brainer.

In my opinion the machines are no fun because people just put them aside and wait for a signal that you have won. Much prefer following along. Kind of like hiring someone to sit at slot machines with your money while you hang out at the casino bar

You can do paper or electronic. They offer different packages. Electronic doesn’t have you daub anything; it’s automatic, so paper is way more fun.
