ecs66 Posted August 22 #1 Share Posted August 22 In Los Angeles, many hotels near the port at San Pedro allow you to drive to the hotel, stay overnight, and leave your car parked there until you return from the cruise -- free. Wondering if anyone is aware of hotels near Port Everglades that provide this service.
CruiserBruce Posted August 22 #2 Share Posted August 22 None do free parking that I am aware of, but check visitlauderdale.com, a list of all Ft Lauderdale hotels, and their amenities, like parking.
67Miner Posted August 25 #3 Share Posted August 25 Most hotels near the airport/cruise terminal offer rates that include free parking. The rate, of course, is somewhat higher than a room rate that does not require parking. The SpringHill Suites by Marriott, for example, has a rate of $174.02 (October 10) that includes up to 14 days of parking. The rate code to use on the Marriott website is PKF. Complimentary shuttle service to/from the airport, but a fee is charged for the cruise terminal.
Joebucks Posted August 27 #4 Share Posted August 27 (edited) I have never heard of a hotel that allows you to store your car there for a week, for free. Most hotels in Fort Lauderdale don't even give free parking when you're staying there. Edited August 27 by Joebucks

We're finding that out. When we lived in SoCal, some hotels near the port offered this for cruisers. In any case, we decided to rent a car in TN, return it the morning of the cruise, and not worry about parking. Thanks again!
