Riviera R742 compared to C710 for Hawaii from San Francisco

Thinking of late september cruise out of San Francisco and undecided on cabin. Are the Riviera balconies(R742) really small and uncomfortable. I know caribe ones are large? need some inspiration in choosing. Caribe is only a couple  hundred dollars more. Thanks in advance......g and c

Assume you are speaking about the Ruby Princess. I would choose C710. It's a great cabin in a very nice location. The balcony is 9ft x 9ft with 5ft of cover. It has 2 chairs and a table, and if I remember correctly two foot rests. I was in C635 this past February. Really liked it.

R742 will have a 9ft x 5ft covered balcony also with two chairs and a table. It is conveniently located to the Terrace Pool if that pool is important to you.

Note that the first two to three days sailing to Hawaii are normally cool and the seas can be choppy. Not really tropical sit around the pool weather.

Hi - we are currently booked in C753 on Ruby Princess to Hawaii.  C752 has become available (port side vs. starboard).  Wondering if I should switch.

We like Caribe due to the large 9x9 balcony and half covered.  Definitely would pick Caribe.  If you don’t mind a smaller deck, then it doesn’t matter.

We spend time on the deck, coffee, breakfast or lunch and before dinner drinks, etc.

They are identical aft facing cabins.  I don't see see any advantage of one over the other.
