@pirate4me2 ty for the great memories you brought back from our April YC cruise on Seashore, next MSC is November YC Seascape, (have Horizon this month ABC Islands and excited about that), perhaps some day our paths will cross either on MSC or Carnival as now I will be looking out for those “crazy” sunglasses, thank you for modeling them on Ocean Cay, safe travels home.

so we ditched it and headed to the room to order pizza!

i am looking forward to the pizza myself.

I have been following along with your menus and they are slightly different from the ones I found in the Menu Sticky .. I may have to adjust plans based on what actual menus we find onboard.

Are the potato chips available anywhere else on the ship or only in Top Sail?  Potato chips are my weakness, but I will splurge on vacation.

On Magnifica, everytime I sat at a table and ordered a drink in the Tiger Lounge, they brought a dish with chips and a dish with peanuts with my drink. I've sailed Magnifica 4 or 5 times and this has happened on each of the cruises.

I have been meaning to ask -- Do they still provide the printed version of daily activities the evening before?  We usually like looking at them before going to bed to see if there is anything we absolutely do not want to miss the next day.

Like she said, they really push the e-version.  I did ask our butler for a hard copy on the first night - because DS does not have a phone and he likes reading it and planning his day.  I have to admit...the butler seemed a bit put off by the request - regardless, we did get hard copies for the rest of the week.

I get not doing it automatically, but I thought it was a bit strange because they'll print you a newspaper every day, no questions asked.

Yes, very interesting to me as well, I was actually “astonished” at the amount of paper they must go through to print the newspapers.

Agreed.  I went into the cruise thinking that it would be fun to read a paper every morning with my coffee...but I opted against it because I knew I probably wouldn't after the first day and it would be wasteful.

I may have missed some of the YC menus. Was french onion soup offered in the YC? It's my favorite!

I don’t recall seeing it, because I feel like I would have ordered it. The menus were a little different than I remembered on Seaside last year.

Lucky you! I wish I would have asked that, I much prefer a hard copy to plan my day.

Disembarkation was easy peasy, lemon squeezey. We got up at 6:45, threw our clothes on, packed up last minute items, and were in Top Sail Lounge at 7:15. Since we were carrying our own luggage off, they called Jerome our butler and he came to escort us off. He took my suitcase and rolled it all the way to the gangway for me, and by 7:45 we were in Maze and pulling out of the parking garage.

Now we are over halfway thru the road trip home and so far it’s been decent…it’s raining, but traffic is moving along, so I won’t complain or risk jinxing myself! I’m ready to see my fluffy vampire, and sleep in my own bed.

82 more days now until the next adventure!!

I enjoyed your review, kind of like a salve after just disembarking a couple weeks ago.

..and if I remember correctly, this is your first MSC? I am curious to read a reflection after you get home and settled. 🙂

220someting days until our next, then 90 after that 😄

They will alter the menu each day to accommodate availability of ingredients. When you see them at the computer that is usually what they are doing. After they have finalized the menu, they'll print all the copies in all the languages and then start stuffing them into the YC holders.

We have 21 days to go, then we will enter Seashore for a 11 night b2b. In 11 days we will start our precruise-Roadtrip in Florida, we can't wait for it.....

Glad that you enjoyed your holiday. We sail in 6 days and you helped us struggle through the last week by showing what is coming our way. Thanks!

I don't think you'll be disappointed. We're long-time Princess cruisers and they used to have the best pizza - until we sailed on MSC! Even if you're in the YC, try to make your way to the pizza section in the buffet - they make several different varieties and they're all excellent. Of course, you can order it delivered in the YC for no charge, but I recommend going to the source (sauce?!).

We did the build your own thru the YC room service, and my hubby was SO HAPPY they were able to accommodate his request for a pineapple, pepperoni and ham pizza. Pineapple isn't listed as an available option, but he asked and it appeared!

I find it hard that anyone can beat princess pizza but knowing Stef and hearing it from you might have to try it sometime just hard to leave princess

Oh we still like Princess and have a couple of cruises booked with them, but the YC experience on MSC is a treat - and yes, the pizza is better!

It's good too see what's out there, but we prefer Princess's itineraries for longer cruises.

Oh yeah, you wouldn't be disappointed!! I do want to try Princess sometime, especially since I can use the Carnival OBC on there from being a stockholder. Maybe in 2026 we can find an itinerary that intrigues us to swap over.

I have seen some of their longer itineraries, and they look awesome! I just have a hard time leaving for 10-14 days. Maybe one day!
