peiguy48 Posted August 29 #1 Share Posted August 29 We're a couple in our 60s going on a cruise that will dock in Cozumel. We've visited Nachi and Del Mar Latino before and enjoyed both, but we're looking for a new experience. With five ships expected in port on the day of our visit, do you think Paradise Beach would be too crowded for us? Thank you!
lifes-a-beach Posted September 1 #2 Share Posted September 1 That’s really subjective. We are also in our 60s and started going to Paradise Beach 25 years ago when it was a line of chairs along the beach. Over the years they built an awesome attraction complete with a pool and very nice restrooms. For us, when they decided to go AI we started looking elsewhere. Mind you, the food is good and my wife enjoys a drink or two. There’s a taco truck there that’s also very good. The facility is beautiful and well kept, and if you get there early there’s not much of a crowd. But as the day goes on it gets crowded and the drunks start showing up. They turn the music up to accommodate their client base, which isn’t really us any longer. To answer your question though, it’s not particularly overcrowded. It’s a big place and sometimes it’s not very crowded at all. Five ships is a light day on Cozumel. If you’ve never been there and don’t mind the music and rowdiness, you should consider giving it a try. As they say, YMMV.
Marie51 Posted September 9 #3 Share Posted September 9 Older lady here, we just got back from Cozumel where we took an excursion to Playa Mia and had a great time. I would not hesitate to go there again.
Rare wolft927 Posted September 17 #4 Share Posted September 17 Aboslutly not! Paradise beach has a great pool and loungers. Food is good and service has always been great. Paradise beach is a more relaxed atmosphere comparable to a few others. We go there every time we are in cozumel, our next visit will be February. JustUs275 Posted September 22 #5 Share Posted September 22 It's good to read these comments! We (in our mid-60's) and our daughter, SIL and teen granddaughters will be there next month. The kids are looking forward to the activities, I'm looking forward to as much or as little as I want to do, hubby and SIL are looking forward to the food options. Sounds like Paradise Beach will work well for our family! 😊

Rare wolft927 Posted September 24 #7 Share Posted September 24 We booked day beds last time we went. Was great, day beds used to be first come first serve and free now you really need to book well in advance if there are multiple ships in. Price was $50 last time we booked about 2 years ago, haven't looked at prices yet for our trip in February.
