Family-friendly Beach Day with Good Food/Drink

Hello!

 

We'll be in Costa Maya for a full port day (8AM - 5PM), and will be traveling with our friends and their 2 kids (under the age of 7).  It's been ages since we were last here with our kids and it was only for a partial day where we spent it at Blue Kay.

 

We're looking for a day and place where the kids will have a good time, but where the 4 adults can enjoy a beach day with good food and drink.  We do not mind an AI option and would prefer an open bar.  Great snorkeling would be a bonus.

 

After reading through the board, I think I've narrowed it down to the following:

Hayhu

Maya Chan

Malecon21

Yaya

Agree with @crewsweeper, given that you have good port hours I would probably choose Maya Chan or Hayhu first.

 

Not sure about ranking those along the Malecon, location and facilities are similar - for me it would mainly come down to ambiance and budget required. 
 

With kids that age I wouldn’t discount time at the port itself with aviary, pools, voladores, dancing and dolphins.
