I get assigned into my league whenever I open the app for the first time for the week. I usually don't get up on Monday until around 11, 11:30. I wonder if waking up so late puts me at an advantage since more active people are probably awake earlier and signed into their app already. Just in case, I think I will wait until I leave to check yesterday's progress.

Also holding off on the scale maybe I can drop another .2 lbs. Not likely that I will be back to the 178 I was before last cruise sadly.

Will you please observe the boarding process for suites and Premium Access?   Enjoy your cruise!

Check in was so seamless I never stopped walking to notice the suite checkin process sorry. I will see if I notice how early they board.

I pleaded my case to no avail.

Security was not budging. A quick internet search still does not indicate anywhere that fans are not allowed. I will try again onboard and hopefully they will supply me a fan if they won't relent. Last time this happened they did retrieve my fan from Security after they listened to my phone call with Celebrity that fans were allowed. I did not make that call this time, wonder if I could call onboard.

This is a big deal for me.

I absolutely MUST have my fan.

Will stay calm and level headed but this is a make or break thing for me.

Is it considered a weapon?

People who are uninformed consider it a safety hazard. It poses no risk to the electrical system onboard.

It's their ship and their rules, if they want to ban it they need to put it in writing not leave it to the discretion of the security staff screening bags any given day.

I no longer need a fan since I bring a small white-noise machine (very lightweight and small).  And I just crank the a/c all the way down at night.  Still find I sometimes have to fling the covers off in the middle of the night.  At my "advanced" age, I shouldn't be having hot flashes, but I still do.  No fun!

I don't really drink hard liquor.  The occasional Dark-and-Stormy, when I can find Gosling's Black Seal Rum on a ship.  I've become addicted to Aperol Spritz.  Light, refreshing, not heavy on the alcohol.  Occasional beer during the day & wine with dinner.

I'm on Reflection 11/4 & Beyond 11/9.  After that, I'll spend 2 nights in Ft Lauderdale, then board HAL's Nieuw Amsterdam on 11/17 (my b'day) for a week.  I started out with that as a casino offer, then when I started looking at the X offers, I added Beyond to the front end.  Then added Reflection to the front of that.  Will be an interesting comparison trip.  I love N. Am. and her sister Eurodam.  Perfect size ships for me.  I'm not one who needs lots of glitz and shiny, new venues.  I want somewhere quiet to sit and read during sea days.

It’s their ship and their rules, absolutely, but what you are getting is the intervention of an improperly trained jobsworth, like security people in foreign ports  who occasionally try and intervene to stop people taking booze onto Cunard.

We should be sitting there with you. 😢

Bring a cushion. The seating in this terminal is really bad 😆. I'm used to the Royal terminal this is all wooden benches with a curve to it so that it digs ino your spine. I'm not sure who thought this was a good choice.

I should have tried to bring booze maybe it would have distracted them from the fan 😆

I would probably have to stand, but they would probably come tell me I need to be seated 🤣

White noise app will help. It's what I uses in Barcelona because my fan was not compatible with EU outlets and the AC has always been great in Celebrity but I also need to feel the air circulating.  Trying not to be "extra" here but I'm a mess when it comes to maintaining a healthy sleep cycle.

Never tried HAL but it's on my radar. The lack of quiet was something I noticed on my first Celebrity ship. It's very noisy and not what I expected from a premium line. I don't necessarily mind it, but there is definetely not a quiet vibe onboard. Of course, there are quiet places available for those looking for it.
