Need a little advice from drinkers

My husband and I don't drink but our grown sons do. I am thinking of buying some alcohol in Cozumel as a Christmas gift if there is something special or unique available that isn't available here. They like tequila, rum, and vodka. Thanks in advance!

Look for POX, a Maya liquor, or xtabentun, which I know is available at Cinco Soles. Otherwise look for small batch mezcal like Rey Compero, Ilegal orDel Maguey

I never heard of POX (will have to check it out! ) but I love xtabentún if you want a specialty from the region although I understand it wouldn’t be everybody’s favorite!

We tried to do a ship excursion to the distillery in Merida once but it was cancelled through lack of interest. I guess it isn’t that well known!
