Connecting in Toronto from International to Domestic

Will be flying from Fort Lauderdale and on to Calgary soon.

Will we have to exit International  Terminal and clear Security again to enter Domestic side or is it possible to go from one to the other?

Have been told checked luggage will automatically be forwarded without having to pick up.

Would be great if did not have to clear Security a second time.

Hopefully 2 hours will be enough time to clear customs/immigration and find our way over to Domestic.

Will not be using phone for any clearance - just the old fashion way ( hopefully)

Much depends on the airline(s) involved. Whether you're able to do it without exiting/re-entering security depends on whether you're arriving & departing from the same terminal - you should be able to get your answers from the Toronto Pearson website, though.

Oh, and just as a caution - the US isn't considered 'International' at Pearson - it's called Transborder. If you're looking at International arrivals, you won't be getting the correct information.

As stated above...

I can tell you what happens with Air Canada - FLL to YYZ to YOW:

1.  At FLL, luggage is checked through to YOW and no need to see/touch it until you arrive home;

2.  At YYZ, you stay in secure zone and make your way from the Transborder (US) arrival gate to Canada Immigration and Customs (CBSA) with no need for a security check;

3.  The CBSA check ought to be fairly routine unless you're doing something 'unusual'.  If you have NEXUS, this will speed things up a bit but it's usually pretty quick;

4.  Once through CBSA head to your domestic gate for onward flight.

We often have connection gimes of 1h20m or so and that is plenty.  So, your 2h is generous.
