Am thinking of doing a trip to Singapore next year and need some ideas about where to go. Have been to China,Thailand, Cambodia,Laos, and Mynnamar .Seeing that it is a rather long flight there I would like to spend 2 weeks there but .Is there enough to do in Singapore for 2 weeks or is there somewhere near I could also visit .Any suggestions would be helpful. TIA

There's a truckload to do there. We had 5-nights before and 3-nights after our Asia cruise and again back there for a bunch of nights on the way home from Europe last year - and we still haven't gotten to many of the things on our list to see there. These 2 have very good lists -

It is a very small and compact place (cheap and easy to get around too), but there is a lot to see and do. We clocked up a lot of steps!! 🙂

In 2016 we spent five full days in Singapore following a transpacific cruise (Honolulu to Sydney to Singapore).  We easily could have filled two weeks.  Interesting food, great museums and galleries. And as already noted very easy to use their public transportation system.

We rented a car after a couple days in Singapore and drove a week through Malaysia where there are very interesting places to visit as well (Malacca, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, etc)

We will be staying pre-cruise in Singapore and would be interested in learning what were your top sights (must sees) if possible?  As well, hotel recommendations that are in close walking proximity to many of your top sights. Thank you.

I know your question was to Northern Aurora; but some of our must do/see things were -Gardens by the bay, the night river cruise, the lazer show at Gardens by the Bay, Clark Quay nightlife, Raffles Hotel for either a Singapore Sling or a coffee, Fort Canning Park, The Botanical Gardens, Walking Marina Bay, The Night Safari (we did all 3 safaris back-to-back-to-back in one day - they're all beside each other), just off the bat. They're all in the links above. Their subway system is exceptional. With the MRT - it's quick and easy to get to anywhere over there.

Thank you for this information and sounds like you enjoyed your time in Singapore.

Gardens By the Bay was wonderful.  I would do it afternoon into evening because at sundown everyone is outside watching the trees "dance to music".    We spent several hours there.

Also we found a one hour boat ride along the canal. Starts right in front of Hooters. Goes past a number of interesting sites.

We stayed at the Hilton in little India section. Bought a 4 all day subway pass...only certain stations sell them. Invaluable. Was like $10 a day and you pick how many days you want.
