For dessert we had the Crostata di mele CoppettaSlow-Baked Italian Apple Tart Topped withHazelnut Streusel. Basically, the apple tart. On top of the ice cream was a type of caramelized brittle. Looked to be all sugar and possibly brown sugar at that. But the brittle tasted exactly like a toasted marshmallow. Does anyone have a recipe for a brittle/caramelized glaze sticks that was placed on the ice cream portion? The alcohol free red wine from MADD is completely zero proof and tastes quite nice. That probably would work. You can buy it in grocery stores in Ontario. Creamer half & half 10 oz. Sour cream 1 tsp Mint fresh for garnish Salt & pepper pinch to enhance flavor Sugar white granulated to taste PROCEDURE • Blend strawberries to a smooth paste. • Combine all ingredients together (Strawberry puree | ice cream | heavy cream | milk | sour cream) with stick blender.
