franma Posted April 16, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 16, 2006 Thanks for sharing. We were there many years ago, but plan to revisit on this cruise.
Surfgirl Posted April 16, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 16, 2006 Yes, definately worth it! There are actually two caves... go to both. I advise people to go right as they open up and you'll avoid the crowds. There were only three other people on the tour with me when I went. It gets pretty crowded later in the day. Have fun! Estcstgrl Posted May 28, 2006 #6 Share Posted May 28, 2006  Just to let you know these coupons do not work. We were just there this past Thursday, May 25, and they had never seen these coupons and would not accept it. www.passengerdiscount.com
Rare Got2Cruise Posted May 28, 2006 #7 Share Posted May 28, 2006 Which port is the Caves closest to? Do we take a cab, or does the public bus pass there?
Raine1306 Posted May 29, 2006 #8 Share Posted May 29, 2006 Tried to use the coupon the week of 5/14, they wouldn't accept it.
Raine1306 Posted May 29, 2006 #9 Share Posted May 29, 2006 As soon as you dock in St. George, go to the Vistor's center which is right in the terminal. Ask the person behind the desk what bus you should take. Buy the tokens from her. We caught a bus on the main street right outside the port at St. George. It took us to a stop a short walk from the caves. Just ask the bus driver to let you know where it is. The Swizzler Inn is where you get off and on the bus. Stop and get a Rum Swizzler. The Swizzler Inn is the one spot I definitely want to get to. I always thought it was closest to Hamilton. I missed it on our last cruise.
Raine1306 Posted May 29, 2006 #11 Share Posted May 29, 2006 Want to clarify my last post. The Swizzler Inn is located on the main street near Crystal Caves. (not in St. George)
bajsf Posted May 29, 2006 #12 Share Posted May 29, 2006 for the caves? Did you get a tour on ship or at the caves itself?
DFW4 Posted June 3, 2006 #13 Share Posted June 3, 2006 We were there last week, (5/28 on Explorer). They don't accept the coupon. For adults, the price was $15 for each cave, or both caves for $21. Definately worth the price and an easy bus ride from Hamilton. If you only choose one cavem chose the one with the bridge across the water inside (sorry don't recall the name). It was much larger and had more to see. EDIT- These were the direct prices. I think it was $48 on the ship, although that may have included transportation. Still a better deal on our own. Nerina Posted July 5, 2006 #14 Share Posted July 5, 2006 Hi, Interested in the caves... Can you take pictures? How is the temperature? Is it worth the extra $ for both caves or better to do just the larger one? Pam
