Zenith Review - April 13-19

Those people who criticize the Zenith for minor rust and no "glitz" like the newer ships should spend more time just enjoying the wonderful service, more than adequate food, and GREAT entertainment (although it appeared that many of these entertainers were leaving at the end of the cruise). This was our third Celebrity cruise, and each one seems to be a little better than the previous.

We stayed pre-cruise night at Holiday Inn-Port of Miami. Very convenient for morning breakfast and shopping across street at Bayside Mall. Then only about a $10 cab ride to port.

As we left the ship, the crew was deeply involved in scraping, cleaning, painting, etc. in preparation for their Bermuda run beginning this weekend. They also appeared to be setting up for a great crew party on their 2-day cruise to New Jersey (without passengers). I wish I could have been there to watch them all relax and enjoy themselves for a couple of days, because they deserve it.

Next for us is HAL Amsterdam this August in the Baltic. We will be viewing these boards for helpful hints.
