I know many of you are already signed up. In fact, right now we have almost 90 cabins for the 9/17/05 Caribbean Princess Hounds cruise exceeding the 75 we had on this years Hounds cruise! That's amazing!!

I promised you all that I was working on getting another reduced deposit week so that more of you could take advantage of the $100pp deposit that we offered back in June. I just heard from Kevin at CruCon and he is still trying to work this out with Princess. He think he may have a better chance of persuading them if we can give him a number of how many people may still be wanting to book.

Please let me know if you or any friends/family would be interested in booking in the next couple of weeks if I could secure the $100 pp deposit. The nice thing about this reduced deposit is that it's not for a GTY cabin, you can actually hand select any open cabin and no further payments are due until next June when the balance is due.

COME ON, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO COME!! :) If you're not sure about group cruising, just ask any of the 155 Hounds that sailed the Mariner last week! We've got great references!!

Our captain was absolutely great about keeping us informed. It was great leaving from PC but not so great arriving in Miami and being bussed back.[/color][/size]

This is Lynne and I was on the Caribbean Princess 9/18--9 day cruise. She is a beautiful ship and we had a wonderful time. However, our ship ended up going on the Western Itinerary instead of the Eastern one, as yours did-a change in direction. I'm glad you got down there, as I was very afraid that Godfrey was going to lose a lot of money that week with all of us diverting West. I heard that the Celebrity went down there, too. I saw on one of the threads that we went west because the Ship stopped to deliver water and other supplies to Grand Cayman on the way from Mexico.Georgetown was a sad sight. None of us were allowed off, as supply vessels came out to the ship to pick up their loads. I thought it was a nice idea and that other ships could do that, too. I'm also glad you made it to Nassau. We were on our way, but that was Thursday,Sept.23, and we were in very rough seas. The water had trouble staying in the pool! The Capt. turned our ship around and we went back into calmer waters.Then, he decided we'd make a run for Port Everglades and try to beat the Hurricane and get back in port by midnight Friday night. About 4-4:30PM Friday he made the announcement that the Ports had been closed and the Coast Guard "advised" us to stay out for another 48 hours. Many in our Sea Bees group were elated (the Meteorologist among us just KNEW there was no chance)but other passengers were down right unhappy. Being the procrastinator that I am, I hadn't started to pack yet-Hubby and I were in the Casino. I know that this meteorologist and his wife are considering joining you in Sept.2005. I'd love to go again too, if the conditions are right. Take care everybody. I'm glad you all returned safely. BTW, we had no damage to our house down here in Avon Park,FL-where the eye of Jeanne went through. Phew! Lynne

[font=Century Gothic][color=navy]What I can say is that it I've had no time to digest all this as I just found out myself late yesterday.. I can promise that I will be a "working" group leader and try to get to know everyone before we leave in [b]48 weeks[/b]!!! There will be a great pre-cruise hotel for a party, lots of onboard stuff for everyone including the always-intriguing "blast from the past" contest, possibly a scavenger hunt in port (did this once years ago and it's great for the shoppers especially), t-shirts and the whole nine yards! Oh, and nightly happy hour probably in the Wheelhouse -- a "come as you are if you want to" sort of thing that will give everyone who wants to hang out before/after dinner or meet up for the evening! I don't like changes being done without any notice or explanation (I gather others have gotten an "official" e-mail...only one I got was from Pammy)...I booked because it was a "Hound Cruise". :mad: :mad: Talk about "Bait & Switch". So I will be "unbooking" - just need to check with Princess and see if I can transfer booking to different TA & ship.
