We obtained the $200 credit due to being Platinum members but that was it. We booked the same cabin for both cruises. Our first cruise we'll be Platinum members. The second cruise we'll be Diamond. If I hear anything I'll let you know. Check the C&A magazine for savings certificates on those cruises. We were able to use a coupon for each cruise. This is all we received. On your second week of the cruise you should start to receive small plates of "goodies" brought to your cabin every afternoon. Bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries, hors d'oeuvres and other different little tidbits. You should get them about 5 of the 7 days if it is still done the same as our last one. We have been able to upgrade, on board for the second cruise, for a price and did once get a futher upgrade comped to us. Even your table assignment will change. It's fun. We love it. We got discounts on both sailings...I think $100.00 the first segment and $200.00 the 2nd. We had a mini - suite so we really didn't notice anything extra. The day of the first cruise disembarkation we waited in the casino and a ship's officer came and escourted us off the ship. We waited a long time for him to arrive...usually after everyone else has left. But, once he came, it only took us about 20 minutes to get off and on the ship again. This is for RCCL cruises only. I am going to give you my whole posting on B2B cruises. We have done many B2B over the years. They are wonderful. We usually do the Eastern and the Western, but have done the Southern route also. My first thing about a B2B cruise is I NEVER cruise them unless I can stay in the same cabin. I am not one for an upgrade or changing to another because I always pick the exact cabin I want and insist on staying with it. There is no repacking to be done and everything you have stays in the same cabin. By now your cabin attendant knows you and is familiar with your times, likes and dislikes. On your second week of the cruise you should start to receive small plates of "goodies" brought to your cabin every afternoon. Bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries, hors d'oeuvres and other different little tidbits. We lucked out on our cruises coming up in September and got two C&A coupons in their magazine worth $150.00 off of each week. We then got the discount on the balcony cabin for Platinum members. We have since had a price drop for the one week of our B2B so we got another price refund by calling RCCL. (I book directly with them by phone) The only real discount you get other than C&A coupons is you only have to pay to fly one time for both cruises. Your fare to get there and your fare to get home. Saves on airfare. The dining room menu has enough variety that you can eat a different meal every night for the two weeks. I do not find the food to be boring on a B2B. You do not normally stay at the same table the second week, nor have the same wait staff. It can be requested if you would like to stay with your waiter. The entertainment as far as the main shows are usually the same for the two weeks. The comics or other show people normally change by the second week. If not, check out another thing on the ship you missed the first week. On the day of turn around, you are usually escorted off the ship by an officer and returned to it within minutes. No going back in line to re board for the second week. This will depend on the port you are in. They do not do the same procedure in all of them. Others like to try to upgrade after the first week but I am happy to stay where I am. I always pick my cabin well in advance to get that location. Besides, I am too lazy to repack.
