Euros or Dollars in Casino

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I was just wondering if the Casino uses dollars or Euros? We (my wife and I) will be on the Splendor of the Seas on the 21st (out of Venice).

I believe I read that the Sea Pass cards are chergged in US Dollars(which is are good thing) , But have not read anything about the way the casino takes your money :) at the tables.(Euros or Dollars)

If any one knows, please let me know

Thanks All

Ok great thanks..

But that brings another question to mind... Can you give the say 10 Euros, will the give you 12.50 in chips? (or what ever the conversion rate is?)

I realize the easiest thing to do is just give them US Dollars.

But I have already changed most of my vacation money in Euros. No big deal either way, just wondering

Thanks Again

Signet

There is a currency exchange desk at the Customer Relations desk on European cruises. You can change your Euros to US, and vice versa. The casino, I believe, will only take US dollars. However, why not keep the Euros and just put the casino money on your SeaPass account. It's NOT a cash advance on your credit card; it comes through just like any other credit card purchase.

Less trouble to charge it in the casino, IMO.

Ok, does anyone know if there is still luggage storage at the Venus airport?

I asked on the "Europe" board, and some one answered there was, but that was 3 years ago. Trying to find out if the storage area is available. We will be staying a night in Venice after the cruise, but are taking the excursion RCCL offers after the cruise (since we probably can not check into the hotel at 9 or 10 in the morning when we get off the ship). In any event we will end up at the airport after the excursion, so if the storage area is still there, I would like to drop off the big bags, and just take the carry on bags to the Hotel.

Anyone one been to Venice airport recently? that knows if it still available?

Thanks

Signet, Good question about the casino. Maybe we'll run into each other there as we're on the same cruise. We're also staying the day after the cruise in Venice but plan to go directly to the hotel and have them store our luggage until the room is available. I checked the website for the airport and they do state that they have luggage storage available. http://www.worldairportguide.com
