Cabin 8051

Kathy...we were in 8041 in March and I hate to report we had quite a bit of noise from the grill above...they seemed to start to set up each morning at about 5:00am! Lots of rumblings from the plastic chairs and tables, also.

We were in 8052 in 2004 and had absolutely no noise at all. I liked the sunsets off the port side much better, also.

Hope this helps,

Kathy

Kathy...I would try to switch if you can. We saw beautiful sunsets on our first voyage on the port side. This time we didn't see one. The cabin under the buffet eating area was very quiet while under the grill was not. One night at 2:00am DH went up and had a few words with the deck attendant.

dog...yes we had a mini both times. I have a great picture of it. Let me see if I can figure out how to post it.

We were in room 8049 for the May 9th cruise and LOVED our room. The views coming in and out of the different ports were great from that side of the boat. We were also smack dead in the middle and felt very little rough waters when we had them. As for noise we heard the other rooms lock their patio doors (they slam down) and very little noise from the pool deck above. They were also resurfacing the pool deck and had construction going on lots of the days during our trip and we still did not hear anything. My husband was most impressed with the room I booked for us and we agreed the next cruise we take we want to get a room in a similar location. I hope you enjoy your cabin as much as we did! Also the mini suite is worth every penny and was a great upgrade from the regular balcony room we had on the Dawn Princess in Alaska.
