abhb Posted June 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2006 We are thinking of booking with Nativeway Sports in Grand Cayman. The tour we want to do is from 10 am to 2 pm central time. I know the ship stays on eastern time. This will get us back to the ship at 3 pm ship time if every thing is on time. We will need to tender to get back to the ship. Will this give us enough time to get back to the ship for a 4 pm sail away? Has anyone done the Sting Ray City/ Island tour? Do you have any other suggestions for an Sting Ray/Island tour? KamloopsCruisers Posted June 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2006 We did the Reef, Rays and Rum Point Tour with Nativeway last year. This company does a lot of tours for cruise ship passengers and they know fully about getting you back to the ship in plenty of time and know that the ships are on "ship's time", rather than island time. Don't fret or worry about this, just let them know what time your ship sails and you'll be returned to the dock - and not right at the last minute! This excursion was one of our all time favourites - highly recommend - both the tour and Nativeway. One of our excursion mates posted a good detailed review of our day in Grand Cayman here on CC. Here is a link to her review. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=134605 Enjoy!
cb at sea Posted June 1, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 1, 2006 Always keep your watch set to ship's time--that way, there's no chance of you getting confused about what time it really is! And the above poster is correct--a reputable tour will get you back on time!
