CB won over Liberty: now a few questions?

It was really a hard choice deciding between these two, as we have never had any problems with Carnival and heard great things about the Liberty, but the CB won out in the end.

So now a question: I know the steak house and Italian restaurant have cover charges, but what about all the other dining venues, which are included and which are extra?

Also: do they ever have poker tournaments in the casino, my DH would love that?

Thanks for any and all info.

:) There isn't a charge in any of the other dining venues that I've ever encountered ex. the coffee bar (lattes etc). Not sure if you consider that a dining venue or not.

Not a gambler so not sure re poker tourneys but they have (or had) slot tourneys.

Wise decision....

We were on the Grand in Feb and my DH played in a poker tournament. He had a ball and there were alot of people wanting to play. Maybe this is something they will do on a regular basis.

I am sailing on the CB first timer on Princess after being a Carnival junkie since 1999.

I really booked to try anytime dining.

But after reading a few pages on the Princess board I can think of tons of others reasons that I am glad I made the move.

Sterlings Steakhouse and Sabitinis are the only place that is charged for dining. (I wish I could see a menu for these places)

(ice cream is not free like on Carnival- ice cream is available at selected times during the day for free)

At the specialty restaurants can you order more then 1 entree or appetizer like you can in traditional cruise dining?

from the sound of it--- there is no room for seconds.. hell there doesnt sound like there is enough room for what is being served first.

The dining room portions are very small compared to specialty places. Expect your portions to be bigger then what you get in the dining room
