maynovmom Posted June 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2006 I just booked my first "balcony guarantee" on the Liberty for next April. Has anyone ever had a bad guarantee? I've always picked my own inside cabins but thought for the price this was worth a try.
Rare silentbob007 Posted June 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2006 I did a balcony gurantee on the Valor (my first balcony btw) and ended up with a very nice room on Lido deck. Best of luck!
klfrodo Posted June 3, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 3, 2006 :D Just beware. Once you go balcony, you'll never go back.
maynovmom Posted June 3, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted June 3, 2006 I know...We were upgraded once and it was so nice! This time around I went ahead and booked the guarantee. I just wondered if there was a true down-side. We don't get seasick or mind a little noise so I couldn't think of a reason not to. Anyone have a bad experience I should know about? Sue L Posted June 3, 2006 #5 Share Posted June 3, 2006 The only down side is if you get an obstructed view.
Guest YesitDonna Posted June 3, 2006 #6 Share Posted June 3, 2006 I would still take a balcany with an obstructed view over none at all for a good price.
maynovmom Posted June 3, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted June 3, 2006 Are ther obstructed views on the Conquest class ships?
jkfreeman33 Posted June 3, 2006 #8 Share Posted June 3, 2006 I did a guarantee balcony on Princess and we got the very 1st cabin forward on the top deck. I was with a girlfriend and we joked that no matter how much we drank, we could always find our cabin. Just keep walking as far as you can forward, when you hit the wall, turn right, and that's our cabin. I wouldn't have hand picked that cabin, but it didn't really make a difference. I now do aft cabins and it's the same thing, just in the opposite direction. Good exercise for walking off all the food I consume.
JXOPF Posted June 3, 2006 #9 Share Posted June 3, 2006 I didn't know balconies could be obstructed. What's that like?
maynovmom Posted June 3, 2006 Author #10 Share Posted June 3, 2006 Walking doesn't bother me at all. It might be just the thing I need :)

maynovmom Posted June 4, 2006 Author #13 Share Posted June 4, 2006 I heard the same. The Valor and the Liberty are the same setup. I'm hoping things go well for us!;)
