...staring at the Valor webcam!

I just sit there and keep refreshing it thinking I'll be on her in a little over three days! One more day of work, then errands Friday, traveling to Florida Saturday and boarding Sunday! It doesn't help that I'm too excited to sleep as well as have too many last minute things running through my mind!

I can't take it anymore, I NEED TO BE ON THAT SHIP!

Thank you for listening.

And for your viewing pleasure (WARNING: it is addictive):

Have a great time. I envy you........our daughter's wedding was on the Valor May 29 last year. What a wonderful time it was. We loved the ship and the crew. We are holding on for Oct 18, 2006 on the Imagination. Can;t wait.

Ok, I'm at work and shouldn't even be on here but I do it a few minutes each hour and unfortunately clicked on this thread.... So I put the cam in my favorites and looked at it for a moment...and then someone says it's in St. Martins....oh how I wish I was there! Thanks for the cam....and hopefully I can control myself on this monitored computer... it's going to be hard!

Ash...you will absolutely love the Valor...we were on her in May 2005 for the exotic western route and had a blast.

To make getting around easier you can make your own deck plans that fit right behind your sail and sign card. All you need to do is punch a hole between the second and third column. It is about the size of a credit card. This worked very well for our group. You can fit 3 plans on one regular size piece of paper. These deck plans are set up by floor from forward to aft. All you need to do is put the following in a Microsoft word document. Format in: Normal 8pt bold: Times New Roman: 8pt and divide into four equal colums. Where the divided lines are is where you need to move to the next column. Trim the excess paper and fold in half, and then laminate it. If you need any help please feel free to ask.

Ashkarita,

You are at least lucky enough to be going this weekend, we still have 115 days to go! Thanks for the webcam link, I'm not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing, cant keep my mind off the cruise now as it is.:D

Chrly,

Thanks for the deck plans, this will be great to make sure the kids have as well.:)

We had 14 people in our group when we went and everyone used the deck plans because they were so handy. I don't think anyone got lost on the ship. My DD loved being able to tell us where we were on the ship at any given time. Don't forget you can get free lanyards from the casino and they will also punch a hole in your sail and sign card for you as well. The lanyard that they give you has a key ring on one end and a clip on the other....you can put the clip on the key ring to make a necklace style or attach it to a belt loop and stick the card in your pocket. They come in some really cool colors as well so you will be able to choose.

If you are taking kids with you on this cruise don't forget to go to camp carnival orientation the first night...your kids will have a blast here. If your little one is between 2-5 the person that signs the child in will also have to sign the child out...make sure you both go to sign-in, that way either one of you can sign them out.

chrly -- no apology necessary! I appreciate the tip and I'll probably do that before I go just in case. I think I'm accustomed to the layout -- the Conquest and the Victory are my last two Carnival (and only Carnival) cruises and they're all the same :)

Nope, no kids! I'm 25, fiance is 27 and our group of friends are 27, 33, and then I think 35 and 38, I can never remember :) needless to say it's another couple and two single guys :)

I will DEFINITELY post a review when I get back, never fear! I can relive my entire vacation vicariously through my post!

It's my last day of work until vacation so I'm sitting at my desk watching the clock (not really, haha, I have a domino effect of things to do in about 45 minutes that will keep me busy until around 2 my time so I should be good to go :)

I'm currently filling out our luggage tags. They're spread across my desk drying because the pen I used probably wasn't the best choice (but it's purple so it's pretty -- my fiance is gonna LOVE that, haha).

We're in a balcony room on the Empress Deck. We love them -- once you go balcony you can't go back!

My fiance has a half day of work tomorrow but I'm totally off. I have a full day though!

Ash

I still check the webcam first thing every morning, and we sailed at the end of February. ;) As far as layout, Valor is identical to Conquest, and just a bigger version of Victory (which allows for Fish-n-chips and the Supper Club). My pre-cruise addiction was the Deck Plans. I probably went through them at least once a day. The nice thing was though, that once on board, it was kind of like coming home. :) You'll love Valor. Have a great trip.

OKAY.

I WARNED Y'ALL! I told you it was addicting! I've been in meetings for the past 3 1/2 hours but now I'm about an hour away from the end of my workday and from vacation so I can't handle it! I need to stare at that webcam.

CD -- yes, that's what I was excited about! I ADORE the Conquest so I was so happy to know they're identical (in terms of layout). I've never had fish and chips (I actually wasn't sure what the chips part was so I had to look it up, LOL, but I'll have to try them now that I've heard so much about them :) It also makes me feel better that you check the webcam everyday -- just think when you check Monday morning I'll be on there!

That's for the well-wishes! I'm so friggin' excited I feel like bouncing out of my chair at my desk!
