DonLou Posted June 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2006 One of the ports we'll be stopping at is Barcelona. We plan to meet up with our friends from France who will be vacationing there. Is it allowed to reserve Princess shore excursion tickets for them?
Colo Cruiser Posted June 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2006 We tried this before and due to liability reasons we were told that it is not allowed. Try to book an excursion that you can contact on the side and maybe make arrangements for them to book as well only through the tour Co. :)
spongerob Posted June 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 27, 2006 I guess you could purchase two additional tickets and no one would be the wiser. However, you will probably run into problems trying to meet your friends. They will not be allowed into the pier area without a cruise card, so there's no way they could start the tour with you. I think the previous poster had the best suggestion. Organize a private tour and arrange to meet your friends elsewhere. It's not a difficult task to find tour operators thanks to Google. Pam in CA Posted June 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 28, 2006 Since I'm going to be in Barcelona on my July Sea Princess cruise, I've been doing some research and found that there's a hop-on / hop-off trolley with English-speaking guides that you can take. You can arrange to meet your friends where you buy the tickets. It's 18E per person. Here's the link to the information: http://www.tmb.net/en_US/turistes/busturistic/rutesiparades.jsp
DonLou Posted June 28, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted June 28, 2006 Thanks all, for your info and suggestions. :) Since our friends are closer, I'll see whether they would want to make the independent tour arrangements.
