Are Shore Excursions only for Passengers?

One of the ports we'll be stopping at is Barcelona. We plan to meet up with our friends from France who will be vacationing there. Is it allowed to reserve Princess shore excursion tickets for them?

I guess you could purchase two additional tickets and no one would be the wiser. However, you will probably run into problems trying to meet your friends. They will not be allowed into the pier area without a cruise card, so there's no way they could start the tour with you.

 

I think the previous poster had the best suggestion. Organize a private tour and arrange to meet your friends elsewhere. It's not a difficult task to find tour operators thanks to Google.

Since I'm going to be in Barcelona on my July Sea Princess cruise, I've been doing some research and found that there's a hop-on / hop-off trolley with English-speaking guides that you can take. You can arrange to meet your friends where you buy the tickets. It's 18E per person. Here's the link to the information:
