BTW - by the way

DD - dear daughter

SIL - son-in-law

IMO - in my opinion

Once you know a few of the basics, you can figure the other ones out. These are used on all message boards.

ROFLMAO = rolling on floor laughing my A** off

Pax = passenger

DD = dear daughter

DS = dear son

IMHO = in my humble opinion

JMHO = just my humble opinion

YMMV = your mileage may vary (what happens to you may vary as what happens to me)

How about IIRC?

the best I can interpret is "If I Remember Correctly". Please let me know if I'm on the right track.

GN

:) Yes, GN......

I think it means either "If I recall correctly or If I remember correctly".

You're on the right track. IIRC = If I Recall Correctly, If I Remember Correctly....same thing.

There is a WEB site called NetLingo.com...It has hundreds of acronyms which are used in Message Boards, such as this as well as text messaging, e-mails, Web sites, & Instant Messages...Not sure if you can download or print the list, but it might be something you would like to bookmark in your favorites for future reference..

Phooey/Fooey!!!!!!!

STM it's easier to type what you want to say instead of searching for all the 'abbreviations' - some are logical - others - well, what can I say! We all need to be mindreaders these days!

:eek: :rolleyes:

This may be a duplicate post - screen went blank and then 'reply' box reappeared so I posted again...........:p

Maybe we should add "dp" to 'the list' :D

Serendipity1499 --- thank you so much for this website... Now, I don't feel so stupid not knowing what all those abbreviations mean. Makes reading messages a lot easier.
