houstoncruisers2001 Posted July 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2006 I'm going to be in the Port Canaveral area in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if any local residents knew of a great location or two(like an outdoor restaurant or pier area) to view the ships as they leave port. I have never been to Port Canaveral so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
suezyq50 Posted July 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 12, 2006 We were eating at Grills and saw two. Disney, RCCL, and Carnival were all in port when we sat down to eat. We enjoyed the food, too. THey have a band outside, if you like the sort of thing. Another place is called Fishlips. They were a bit more expensive and also have a band. houstoncruisers2001 Posted July 13, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted July 13, 2006 Thanks suezyq50 & Capt BJ, those are EXACTLY the kind of places I was looking for. I knew a cruise critic member would come through. Thanks again.
Nanatravel Posted July 13, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 13, 2006 Grill's is my choice too. Plan to get there about 4 p.m., put your name in if you want to sit down to dinner, and enjoy the wrap around deck watching the ships sail away and the great music. Bon voyage
Wait'n2Sail Posted July 17, 2006 #6 Share Posted July 17, 2006 My husband and I eat at Grills each time we leave from port Canaveral. In addition to watching the ships sail there is usually a band playing. It is a fun atmosphere.
