TLCOhio (Terry)

Love the photo's of the Baltic's, that will probably be our next trip. We live near the port of Harwich and were hoping to do the cruise sailing from Harwich. However this year Celebrity & Thomson have stopped sailing from, Harwich, which only leaves RCI or Sailing from Southampton.
Will put some photo's on here of our Med cruise, when I get the time, in the meantime you can view them and our photo's of Harwich, via our Flik'r site, which is printed in red after my signature.

I am in the midst of planning for our first cruise -- 12 days from Barcelona, Nice, Rome, Athens among other ports. I am planning to bring a number of SD cards and AA batteries for my camera. I would love to hear of tips, techniques and suggestions for getting the wonderful pictures posted on this thread. I look forward to being able to add to it after we return in October.

Thanks for all the links to smugmug, picassa, webshots and others for all your personal photos. The quality and beauty of these photos is unbelievable.

I love this photo of my little daughter as we sail out from Naples. The crater of Mount Vesuvius is clearly visable from this distance. Seeing the crater completed our Pompeii experience. We had an aft cabin and this was one of those special moments that you get on a cruise. A few minutes later we sailed passed the Island of Capri just as they were turning on the lights. I dont think I will ever forget that evening.

Are those real people or statues? Interesting!

Real people, you will find them all the way along The Ramblas in Barcelona, they are also to be found in Rome and Gibraltar. They turn away from you if you try to photograph them, without putting money in there box, otherwise they stand or sit completely still.

Must take them ages to get made up, and they are there every day.

Here are a couple favorites of mine:

I just love most of our pictures from Santorini - it is such a beautiful place:

I've always like this photo from Athens too:

While not the most photogenic - the view sailing into Venice mid day was outstanding and a great memory:

I also really liked the views of the Arno River in Florence - near, at, and/or from the Ponte Vecchio bridge (this one from a bridge one north of it):
