Upgrade from cat 8 to cat 9 on Carnival Miracle

Hello, we were just informed that we were getting a category 9 upgrade from an 8 by our travel agent. Has anyone had a cat 9 before? ...what is the difference and is it that great? We are thrilled at the upgrade but can't find any information on the room. Any info would be appreciated. :) Thanks.

cat 9 have extended balconies so your balcony will be bigger, Some class of ships have the wrap around balcony as a 9A but the Miracle those cabins are now suites cat 11.

 

You dont well with your upgrade. You wont be disappointed at all.

 

Try doing a search on webshots.com and look for category 9A cabins.

I just wanted to bump this message back up to the front to see if anybody else out there has had a cat.9 upgrade before. It is a much larger room but I can't find any current photos on the net. The one maybe two photos I have found are of older ships with hardly the same layout anymore. Thanks.

I'd love an upgrade to a Cat 9 on the Triumph or Victory, but the Spirit class appear to only have two Cat 9's per deck. Though it is a larger cabin, the location is further aft than a lot of the Cat. 8's, and the elevators are directly behind the cabin. The balcony is extended on all but the Upper Deck, I believe.. It is also a longer balcony!! It's up to you!! ;)
