sjbdtz Posted July 31, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2006 How does one pronounce "fixe prix"in Italian? I know it can't be like what we'd say down here in Alabama!:D A) It's French, not italian. It means Fixed Price (usually used on a menu, to say that you can choose an appetizer, choose an entree, and choose a dessert among those listed, for a fixed price). B) It's Prix Fixe, not Fixe Prix. C) It's pronounced Prix (PREE) Fixe (FIXuh (the uh is pretty silent))
Seabee Posted August 1, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted August 1, 2006 Thanks...I know it's french but I also know it is used in restaurants in Italy just like it is used here in the US. I also know what it means. I just wanted to know how to pronounce it; thanks for the lesson though. I'm going with Pree FIXuh.
