Adventure - want sunny, large balcony

Recommended Posts

I have been reading as many posts as possible regarding cabins on the Voyager-class ships, but I am still uncertain which cabins have the best balcony for a lounge chair and lots of sun.

We are a family of four, so we are considering a JS, but any balcony cabin could be considered. The pictures I have seen of the junior suites on the "hump" look like they have a lot of metal around the outside of the balcony - hard for me to describe, but sort of like looking out through a huge porthole. Is this true?

The aft JS cabins look more open, and I have seen pictures of 1394 that looked very nice, except I read that it will be shady. Is this true?

Help.....can any of you recommend a large, sunny balcony (without looking at a lot of metal struts)? We are spoiled - our last cruise was on the Infinity in an aft corner FV - to die for! I don't expect that on the AOS.

Whether your balcony is in sun or shade depends on the direction the ship is traveling at any given time. I have stayed on 3 aft balcony cabins. Even though they are covered, at some times the whole balcony was in sun.
