suzyed Posted August 9, 2014 #26 Share Posted August 9, 2014 The original post was from 8 years ago. Ordinarily, I would think thatthe poster has already sailed, and additional information probably won't benefit them. But this is cruise critic, where ever possible aspect of an upcoming cruise had to be micro managed by some. It would not surprise me if there are posters here working about which dining room will be used for their embarcation lunch in 2022, and a ship that hasn't been designed yet. LOL!! No kidding.... While I think CC is an amazing tool, I am frequently amazed at some of the info some people "need" to know! LOL! "Is there chocolate milk on the Ruby?"

"Is there chocolate milk on the Ruby?" That would be important information for a parent whose child will only drink milk if it is chocolate milk. It is just as important a question as those who ask if there is diet Pepsi on Princess.
moonhunter Posted August 10, 2014 #28 Share Posted August 10, 2014 I certainly can't speak for every Princess ship, but for our last few trips, we have gotten pretty good internet access in our cabin. I really hate the powdered detergent princess sells. It's quite easy to tuck some gel pacs and dryer sheets in your bag.

Laundry detergent/fabric softener/dryer sheet all in one!!!

Just my attempt at humor....;)

Knowing there is no diet Pepsi on a Princess ship, the diet Pepsi diehards will bring along their own.
pablo222 Posted August 10, 2014 #32 Share Posted August 10, 2014 It is just as important a question as those who ask if there is diet Pepsi on Princess. And, of course, many reasonable questions are then taken to the absurd here.
Colo Cruiser Posted August 10, 2014 #33 Share Posted August 10, 2014 And, of course, many reasonable questions are then taken to theabsurd here. And like I always say you don't have to read any of it if you don't want. ;)
Colo Cruiser Posted August 10, 2014 #34 Share Posted August 10, 2014 I read somewhere (perhaps on this roll call?) that the laundry room is locked while in Alaskan waters. I don't know if this is true. Yvette Not all the time but yes it can be closed.
rjack22 Posted August 10, 2014 #35 Share Posted August 10, 2014 I had Wi-Fi in my cabin on the Coral Princess. Not free mind you, but it is there.

valee Posted January 15, 2015 #42 Share Posted January 15, 2015 This thread fell into the good news/bad news category. Yes, there will be adequate laundry facilities on board, but... There are restrictions. We're on the May 16 Glacier Bay Alaska cruise RT from Seattle. Can any past cruiser fill me in on if/when you're able to do laundry on that itinerary? suzyed Posted January 23, 2015 #43 Share Posted January 23, 2015 Yes Yes, but it rarely works! At least that was the case when we sailed on her last fall.
Dezertbear Posted January 23, 2015 #44 Share Posted January 23, 2015 We did this itetnerary on the Star, and I just happened to see a little note in the Patter that self-serve laundries were closed while in Alaskan waters. Since we planned to do laundry 1/2 way through the trip, we had to hustle to wash what we had immediately then hold the rest until we the laundries opened on the 2nd to last day. Laundry service was available, of course. Made for an interesting trip. Sent from my GT-N5110 using Forums mobile app
caribill Posted January 23, 2015 #45 Share Posted January 23, 2015 Yes, but it rarely works! At least that was the case when we sailed on her last fall. It often works better if you prop the cabin door partially open with the trash can.
rjack22 Posted January 23, 2015 #46 Share Posted January 23, 2015 I remember having wifi in our cabin on the Coral. That is where I always used my netbook computer anyway.
