Question about Palm Beach?

I would head to the DePalm pier area which is on Palm Beach between the Riu and the Radisson Hotels. You need some shade at the beach and there is a vendor right on the beach that rents lounge chairs and umbrellas. Along Eagle Beach you may not find this at all. You will be next to the pier which has a restaurant as well as all of the hotels whihc have poolside restaurants.

I too would agree to head to De Palm Pier and rent chaises and an umbrellas from the vendor there.

The Amsterdam Manor on Eagle Beach is nice, a bit quieter, but there is no guarantee that if you go there they will rent you chaises or shade. It depends upon hotel occupancy at the time.

Beware, we got off ship and got a taxi. Arrived at walkway by Radisson and were escorted all the way to a vendor tent. The prices were very high. It was about $40 for and umbrella and chairs or $50 for the large umbrella. This was the most expensive rental we encountered on any island . We walked to the Westin to catch a taxi back. They showed us the taxi fare card that lists a more expensive price for cruisers vs. hotel guests and we were charged much more for getting in a cab at the cruise ship versus downtown because we are CRUISERS. Never tell them you are cruisers and never tell them to take you to the cruise ship. I was very disappointed that Aruba where we vacation often, would scalp cruisers and it must be gov't policy because it's written on the official taxi rate card. We visited many islands on our long cruise and everyone was disgusted that Aruba would charge so much for 2 chairs and an umbrella. I hope word gets out so that we are not taken advantage of in the future.
