cjnky Posted September 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2006 First cruise - Alaska next August. I think we'll be going on the Sapphire from Vancouver. I'm looking at the mini-suites on the Dolphin deck. (Is that a good choice?) Can someone tell me the difference between AA, AB, and AC other than the price?? Thanks a bunch!! chrysalis Posted September 23, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2006 all the same except for location....check the Princess site for the various locations of each category
vozzie Posted September 23, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2006 Something to consider ... If you want a fully covered balcony, you'll have to consider the Emerald Deck
pamwinn Posted September 24, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2006 I recommend an AD on the Emerald Deck or an aft BB. You will be glad you did. Sometimes the weather in Alaska will make the uncovered balconies unusable.
cjnky Posted September 24, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted September 24, 2006 I wasn't thinking about the Emerald Deck due to someone's comments about the noise. Is this not a big thing on most of the rooms? Heading now to check the aft BB. Thanks!
pamwinn Posted September 24, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 24, 2006 I have had both the Aft BB and many Emerald Minisuites. You can hear the music from below a little bit in the last mini on the portside because it is over the stage in club fusion. But the noise is not bothersome to us...it's very slight. My next door neighbors are louder. We had E711 (and C748) this past June on the Sapphire and there was no noise at all. I have E730 on the Crown booked for September of 2007. We booked early so we could get the last aft mini. I've had it several times and love the location. The view from c748 was spectacular though. I always wondered why people raved so much about the view and now I know. You can't beat it. It's also warmer back there if you get chilled easily.
