Bangkok - precruise package - what sights included?

We are booked on Sapphire Princess - Nov 11 sailing in Asia starting in Bangkok with a 3 night Best of Bangkok package. The first full day is free, and the second day we have a full day tour. The brochure says Visit to Golden Budda, Temple of Emerald Budda and river boat ride and shopping and lunch. No mention of Grand Palace or anything else.

Has anyone done this trip with the pre or post night package in Bangkok and what did you see on the included full day tour? We have called Princess several times to get an answer to no avail. We are trying to figure out what to see the first day so that we don't duplicate what will be seen the next day. Any help anyone can give would be very appreciated. We are traveling with a group of people who all have the same concern.

Hi there! We did this cruise back in July on the Pacific and did the three day pre package in Bangkok. Our first day was free, although some members of the group went to the floating markets. The next day, we went to the Noong Nooch Gardens/Elephant show. It was a long ride in and then we only got to spend a few minutes at the gardens before being hustled off to the Cultural and elephant shows. After that, we reboarded our bus and went to a seaside resort for lunch. The next day, we did the Grand Palace and took the Chao Phraya boat ride. We did the Emerald Buddha and Golden Buddha on our way to the ship If you'd like more of a blow-by-blow, you can e mail me @ ckirby@deltacollege.edu and I'll be glad to send you along our review of that port. We really loved Bangkok and I hope we'll get to go back some day.

Have a great cruise!
