hair dryers

Has anyone sailed since the new signature of

excellence was instituted? I am especially

interested in the new hairdryers and beds.

The old dryers were so hot you had to wrap

a towel around them.

This is very difficult to keep up with. Each ship appears to be at different stages. I believe all PS and S cabins on all the ships have the new bedding. As far as the other cabins go, it is too hard to tell who has what. I think someone recently post that A's or maybe it was A's and B's on one of the ships had the bedding completed.

I believe I read where everyone is now getting robes.

Sorry but I can't answer about the hair dryers. I would play it safe and bring my own.

The entire SOE program is supposed to take 2+ years to complete.

:)

We were on the Maasdam in May (suite). We had the new mattresses and duvets and pillows.

No new hair dryer and no vanity mirrow in the dressing room.

The hair dryer had to be repaired - only blew cold air.

I have been on lots of HAL ships and never had a hair dryer that got so hot that you had to wrap a towel around it to use it.

Zory,

Just off the Veendam on Sunday and we had new mattresses and pillows - they were very comfortable. The hair dryer was not new and it was awful. I have hair just below my shoulders and it took forever to dry with the blow dryer. You are correct the handle got very hot and I had to use a towel to hold it, but the air blowing out was not strong enough of hot enough to get the job done quickly. I would recommend bringing your own hair dryer.

I am not sure if these were new or not (since it was our first HAL cruise), but I liked the light up mirror in the room and the mirrors in the bathroom that allowed me to see the back of my hair after I put it up.

Hope this helps.

Regards.

Mary
