Has anyone taken the dover to normandy hovercraft day trip?

Our ship leaves at 5pm so we want to go early to normandy and then return by 2pm to board.

Jeff, the crossings to Normandy are from Portsmouth or Southampton. They are long crossings of over 4 hours on ferries. Even on the fast speed SeaCat they take over 2 1/2 hours I think. From Dover you can only cross to Calais, which takes about an hour.
