When it is says you can put your gratuities for service, not drinks, on your seapass card is it billed out of card on the first day or do they take it out on Friday when people payying cash would pay? Is the credit card billed immediately when you use seapass for purchases or is it billed after you have reviewed your statement?

I think I am asking 2 different questions.

I don´t know when prepaid gratuities show up on your seapass account, but your credit card is only billed once at the end of the cruise. You receive your final bill on the last morning of the cruise and there´s a certain time frame to go to guest relations if there is anything wrong with the bill. After all is settled your credit card will be billed with the one final amount.

Do not wait until receiving your final bill to try and straighten out a mistake.
Check your statement every day on your TV. If you find something on there that is wrong, do something about it right away.
There was a mistake made on mine the very first night. It took 5 days of going to the pursers desk to try and get it taken off. They did nothing and actually told me "mistakes do happen" 5 times.
I had to personally go to the manager of the bars to have it corrected. I found out from people on board, and after reading this board upon our return, that a lot of "mistakes" were made on drink purchases. The charges were for more than one drink ordered on the first night. Some people said they had two or three on their bills when only one was ordered. That is exactly what mine was on the first night. This happened other nights to many people.
If we had waited to try and fix it the last day, it would have been impossible.
I keep every receipt in a zip lock bag for this very reason.

Also, you can't do the pre-paid tips at final bill time. The cut-off is usually a couple days before the end of the cruise to sign up for them. But, madforcruising was right. At the end of the cruise, it's one charge on your credit card.
That goes for your pre-paid tips, as well--that's why the staff prefers cash tips--it takes them about a week to receive the "pre-paid" amounts!
Well, I use cash, too, but I know that the workers like the pre-paid tips, too, because they are DONE and IN.

Yes, there is a lag in getting specific money, but since many passengers use this method, there is a constant stream. Your cabin attendant, for example, may not get YOUR money today, but he is getting MY money from last week, etc, on a continuous basis.
I'm sure the crew does like the cash, BUT I like the RCI bonus points on my card too. do tip some cash during the cruise to the bar folks & do add cash to the envelopes if the person has been better than "average".
Take the cash out of the casino. It goes on your SeaPass and you still get those credit cards points, AND your RC workers still get cash.

win-win :D

Umm, they do charge your credit card throughout the week, or at the very least run it daily to make sure your limit is high enough to cover your charges. Last cruise with my best friend she had to go to Guest Relations twice to provide a different credit card.
